New Online Service for Creditors / Contributories: Submission of Proxy Form via GovHK Portal

With effect from 26 April 2024, the Official Receiver’s Office has launched a new service for creditors / contributories to submit their proxy forms online to appoint the Official Receiver to attend a meeting of creditors / contributories via the GovHK Portal.

Specified Forms under the Bankruptcy Ordinance (Cap .6) and Specified Requirements under the Bankruptcy Ordinance (Cap. 6) and the Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance (Cap. 32)

On 29 December 2023, the Official Receiver exercised the power pursuant to section 122A of the Bankruptcy Ordinance (Cap. 6 of the Laws of Hong Kong) (“Bankruptcy Ordinance”) to specify certain forms for use with effect from 29 December 2023, for the purposes of the Bankruptcy Ordinance.

On 29 December 2023, the Official Receiver exercised the power pursuant to section 122B of the Bankruptcy Ordinance and section 2AC of the Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance (Cap. 32 of the Laws of Hong Kong) (“CWUMPO”) to specify requirements for certain documents to be sent to the Official Receiver for use with effect from 29 December 2023, for the purposes of the Bankruptcy Ordinance and CWUMPO respectively.
